Tri County Animal Rescue (TCAR) is committed to respecting your right to privacy. You can visit TCAR;s website without telling us who you are or revealing any identifying information about yourself.  However, because our website includes applications which can be filled out providing personally identifying information and faxed in, as well as adoption and volunteer applications and adoption contracts filled out at our shelter, we have developed this privacy policy to inform you of our policies and practices regarding the information we collect about you.

TCAR reserves the right to modify or amend this privacy policy at any time and for any reason.  Any changes to this policy will be posed on our website www.tricountyhumane.org or www.tricountyanimalrescue.com.

How We Collect Information About You

TCAR collets and maintains certain personal information about you when you fill out any application or contract for us, in person, fax to us or email to us, when you subscribe to our email/newsletter list or when you make a monetary donation, as well as any other document that may be filled out at TCAR for any reason, whether online or in person.

Ways Information About You Is Used

We may use the information provided by you to contact you regarding animal related issues, events we feel you may be interested in, to keep you updated regarding shelter programs or to extend an invitation to you to support our programs.  Every recipient of our electronic communications can quickly and easily apt out”of future communications by following the instructions on any electronic communication we provide.

Security

All information provided to TCAR will not be shared with any third party for any reason without the approval of the provider.  Credit card numbers as well as any documents that contain vital information that are rendered unusable will be destroyed after use. Applications, contracts, owner surrender forms, stray intake forms, as well as any other documents that may be filled out and submitted to TCAR for any reason will be kept in secure archives for a period of not less than 2 years and then destroyed upon review of each document.
