The first step to performing court ordered community service with Tri-County Animal Rescue is to come to the shelter during our normal operation hours with a photo ID and Court Papers that include the charge and amount of hours to be done. If you are on probation, we will need the name and number of your probation officer.

We can sign you up for Court Ordered community service at the shelter from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays through Sundays. We are located at 21287 Boca Rio Road in Boca Raton, FL.

General Guidelines

The types of offenses that are allowed include:

  • DUI Or DWI
  • Speeding Tickets
  • Loitering
  • Reckless Driving
  • Other misdemeanors (at TCAR discretion)
  • Tri-County  does not allow any felony offenses (including but not limited to): Animal Cruelty or Neglect, Prostitution or any violent offenses, including: Battery, Assault, or Domestic Abuse

*Felony offenses are not eligible for community service with Tri-County Animal Rescue.

**All individuals that have been court ordered to perform community service of five (5) or more hours MUST provide documentation verifying the type of offense and how many hours are needed.
